Common Questions
-
In our worship gatherings, we strive to glorify God in all we do. We want the gospel of Jesus Christ to be clear throughout our services. Much of what we do is common throughout church history and around the world.
We pray together. We sing old and new songs of various styles that are doctrinally sound and congregationally singable. We read passages of scripture and ancient creeds. We preach expository sermons, most commonly working through books of the Bible. We participate in the ordinances of the Lord’s Supper and Baptism.
We hope that when you come you will feel seen and loved. Whether you are skeptical of Christianity, have been following Jesus for decades, or are somewhere in-between, you are invited!
-
We invite you to wear whatever is comfortable for you to wear in public. Some dress up. Some dress casually. Our leaders typically wear a collared shirt with jeans.

Southeast Family YMCA has a large parking lot. You can park anywhere in their lot. We use the YMCA’s main entrance. If it’s your first time, just look for our signs.

All ages are welcome in our worship gatherings.
We do offer children’s ministry for kids 6 months to age 5. Children’s check-in is just inside the main entrance. We desire to partner with parents to make disciples. We want kids to learn about Jesus and his word and learn to love him.
Children’s ministry includes age appropriate teaching in a safe and fun environment. Protections for children include zero tolerance for abuse, only known volunteers who have cleared criminal background checks, a two-adult rule, check-in/check-out processes, video surveillance, and professional security.
If you prefer to bring your children into the worship gathering, great! We have activity sheets with crayons available for kids. We also have a room available for parents if your children need a break at any point during the service.

Huntsville Hills Church is a non-denominational church. Our beliefs and practices align with baptists, but we are not formally affiliated with a denomination. We gladly partner with other gospel-preaching churches, especially for evangelism, missions, and ministries of justice and mercy. We strive to pray for another local church every Sunday.

Huntsville Hills is a Christian church, so we believe and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. The gospel is the good news that God is reconciling his people and all things to himself through the sinless life, substitutionary death, burial, and victorious resurrection of Jesus Christ. We call people everywhere to repent and believe the gospel.
If you do not consider yourself religious, are skeptical of Christianity, believe but have doubts, or hold beliefs that align with another religion or tradition, you are welcome to our Sunday gatherings. We will invite you to follow Jesus, but we will not coerce or manipulate you. We are glad to hear your questions or rebuttals to Christian beliefs and to participate in respectful dialogue.
We are baptistic in faith and practice. Our full statement of faith can be found on our Beliefs page at the link below.
